Congratulations to Katherine Reutter!

In November, Katherine Reutter (Champaign, IL) was honored by the US Olympic Committee.  She placed second in this month's female Olympic Athlete Honors.   Reutter shattered the Junior and Senior U.S. records in the Ladies 1000m at the Samsung ISU Short Track World Cup in Harbin, China, Oct. 19. Before the event, the Junior and Senior records stood at 1:30.808, but Reutter topped both with a time of 1:30.455. She also set the Jr. world record that was previously 1:30.483.

Speedskating also finished in second place for the team vote as the U.S. Ladies 3000m Relay Team broke the national record in the Ladies 3000m Relay. Their time of 4:17.442 at the ISU Short Track World Cup, Oct. 20, bested the revious record of 4:17.724. Reutter was also a member of the squad.
