On Saturday January 12th, Anwen Parrott skated a personal best in the 1500m time trial at the Pettit Olympic Ice Center in Milwaukee. Her time of 2:40 qualifies her to advance to the National Jr Trials.
Mitchell Musselman also participated in the Time Trials with personal bests in the 500m (55.1) and the 1000m (1:51.8). On Sunday, Mitchell was the Illinois second place champion in the State LT-Pack Meet. His 500m Pack time was also a personal best at 53.2.
Theron Sands put in a personal best in the 500m (45.36), and Marcus Merrill defended his title as Illinois Open Men's Champion, now for the seventh year in a row.
In the North America and Oceania Regional Qualifier in Calgary on January 12th through 13th, Jonathan Kuck skated a remarkable set. Jonathan placed seventh in the 500m (37.6), placed 10th in the 5000m (6.48.97), placed eighth in the 1500m (1.50.25), and tenth in the 10,000m (14.23.07).
